Barracks
From Orson Scott Card Wiki
The sleeping area in Battle School which houses the 40 soldiers of an army. Commanders have their own room apart from the barracks. It is a long, narrow room, with bunk beds on both sides. The curve of the Battle School is noticable in the long barracks room, where the floor curves up to meet the ceiling. In most armies the commmander assembles the soldiers with the eldest at the front closest to the door and the youngest at the back.
