Demosthenes was an alias for Valentine Wiggin, created for her by Peter, to play the "Warmonger". When Valentine went to the colony with Ender, Demosthenes "retired". She later used it to submit books on history and sociology, making it the most respected source in those fields. Years later, the Starways Congress went on an extensive search to find Demosthenes, some people were accused of being him and were tortured to give out untrue information, similar to Josef Stalin's acts during the Great Purges. Demosthenes created the Hierarchy of Foreignness
